Cosmetology
The full cosmetology curriculum includes theory and practical instruction in the following areas:
- Manicuring and pedicuring
- Shampooing and rinsing
- Scalp treatments
- Hair styling
- Hair cutting
- Thermal waving
- Chemical texture services
- Hair coloring and bleaching
- Skin care and make-up
- Wigs and hair pieces
Students may enter this program at varying levels - full, exempt or refresher.
Full Program - 1500 hours - $6,000
This program is designed for the student who has just entered the field of cosmetology or who would like to train from the ground up.
Refresher - 100 hours - $2,000
This program is designed for the student who has work experience, earned cosmetology hours or a combination of the two. Acceptance into this program requires a test-out by the LB staff. This test-out is similar to the requirements of the State Board practical exam.
Exempt - 30 hours - $1,000
This program is designed for the student who has completed 1500 hours of training and requires boot camp for licensing preparation. Like the refresher program, acceptance into this program requires a test-out by the LB staff. This test-out is similar to the requirements of the State Board practical exam.
